9/21/2023 0 Comments Olivia wilde hot thighsIt’s unclear how long Styles has had the “Olivia” tattoo, but it feels like a safe assumption he got it sometime between 20 when he was dating Wilde, and nobody noticed it until months after their breakup. By the end of 2022, Styles and Wilde broke up, but now it appears that Styles has a constant reminder of his ex permanently stamped onto his body. The relationship became infamous for its messiness, as Wilde was still dealing with her separation from Jason Sudeikis and the coupling sparked a deluge of rumors about behind-the-scenes drama on the Don’t Worry Darling set. Styles and Wilde were first romantically linked at the beginning of 2021, while they were making their movie Don’t Worry Darling together. Superfans zoomed in on the ink, and confirmed it did indeed read “Olivia.” Though that name has been important throughout Styles’ career, going back to his One Direction days when he recorded a song called “Olivia,” it seems most likely that he got the tat while he was still dating his ex Olivia Wilde. It wasn’t until photos of Styles’ vacay in Bolsena, Italy surfaced on Friday, July 28 that fans noticed a previously unseen tattoo on Syles’ right thigh. The new discovery caused a lot of commotion online, given how chaotic that relationship was, and the reactions are pretty hilarious. However, while the singer was rocking a pair of short shorts on a boat in Italy, it was clear he had gotten the word “Olivia” tattooed on his upper thigh, seemingly as a tribute to his ex-girlfriend Olivia Wilde. Actually, it probably isn’t even a recent addition to his body, but the tat had never been seen before very recently due to its intimate location. With $30.5 million worldwide, including $6 million in IMAX, it was the biggest global grosser this weekend, bringing its cume to $2.877 billion.Harry Styles is no stranger to the tattoo parlor, but his latest piece of ink has really caused a stir among fans. It helps that the film still kicks butt, and its ‘filmmaking brilliance > quotable dialogue’ sensibility now makes it even more valuable when so many big movies seem written and staged for the meme or the gif. It was one last original mega-blockbuster before IP and nostalgia became the driving force for theatrical tentpoles, so it now inspires nostalgia for a less nostalgic time. Here’s my hot take: While it’s better in 3-D on a giant IMAX screen, the film is so good and so well-crafted that honestly there was only a little value-uptick in terms of seeing it again under the best possible conditions.Īs noted yesterday, whatever thoughts I had in December of 2014 about Avatar not having much of a conventional pop culture footprint, A) that’s no longer true and B) the very things it didn’t have (multimedia spin-offs, merchandise, obsessive online fans, etc.) now make the film’s initial success even more aspirational. I caught a showing with my two younger kids (both of whom are fans) at the Universal CityWalk IMAX. This is the most successful rerelease since the $18 million opening of Jurassic Park 3-D in early 2013, and it’s doing its job in terms of promoting Avatar: The Way of Water. The reissue earned $10 million domestic to bring its domestic cume to $770 million and counting. The only other newbie was James Cameron’s Avatar, which returned to theaters in a remastered-in-4k (and partially at 48-frames-per-second) and again disproved the notion that nobody cares about Avatar.
